Why should I use a pet sitter?
To ensure your pet is as content as possible while you are away by providing loving care in their most familiar environment - your own home.

Do you come and meet us first?
We offer a free initial meeting where we come and meet you and your pets.  We like to hear all about them and understand their personalities and needs. We can discuss our services and answer any questions you may have. You can also see our certificates and testimonials from other clients.

We like to make sure that you are 100% happy before registering with us!

Can you supply references?
Yes, you can look at testimonials from other clients both on our website and when we come to meet you. You are always welcome to speak to existing clients, subject to their permission. Many local vets and animal shelter staff use our services and confidently recommend us.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured and will show you a valid certificate when we meet you.
(If you are using our home visit service whilst you are away please check your own household insurance policy as some become void if the householder is away for more than a specified number of days continuously. You may also need to tell your insurance company that Animal Magic are key holders for your property.)

Are you police checked?
Yes. All our staff are very carefully selected, referenced and fully police checked.

How secure will my keys be?
Your keys are coded and do not have any identification to you or your house.
Animal Magic is happy to retain your keys, which is beneficial to you for regular bookings, emergency situations, called away unexpectedly, your own keys are lost or stolen, or you get locked out.

Do you update me with my pet's status while I am away?
We are happy to email or text you if required. You are also welcome to call for updates!

Can you administer medication to my pets?
Yes that's no problem, so long as we have written permission and full instructions.

What if my pet is taken ill?
We have the health and well being of your pet first in mind and will always act in the best interest of you and your pet. If your pet does require veterinary attention, we will strictly follow any instruction you have given. If you have requested, then we will contact you first. In emergency situations we may use the nearest vet and contact you from there, this may not be your usual surgery.

What if I am delayed on my return?
Please inform us as soon as possible so that we can make necessary arrangements to continue to care for your pets.

Won't my dog be nervous in your vans?
You would be surprised with how many of the dogs quickly recognise the sound of our vans and are excitedly waiting as soon as they hear us coming along the road! Our vans are fully equipped to carry your pet both safely and comfortably.

Will my dog be walked on a lead?
Primarily this is your decision, if you would prefer then your dog can stay on lead for their walk.  If you are happy for your dog to be let off the lead, we will only do this after we have assessed your dog's behaviour and feel that they will respond to commands.

Any other questions?
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!
